If you are about to complete your first degree in language(s) or a Masters in translation and/or interpreting, and are contemplating a career in the translation and interpreting industry, let ITI be your first port of call.
We offer students the opportunity to join ITI as a member. Student membership is great value for money and gives you access to the members-only area which houses a wealth of career, professional development and business information.
A number of universities and colleges offer courses in translation and interpreting in a variety of languages, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, diplomas and various short courses.
ITI works closely with many institutions to provide students with access to practising professionals; mainly through networking, seminars and a variety of events, including 'Meet the Client' event - and this is a main benefit of your student membership.
Each year ITI works closely with a variety of universities to co-ordinate the annual SWATI (Starting Work As a Translator or Interpreter) event. SWATI is a careers information day where students can have an insight into the world of interpreting and translation. Student Members of ITI will be given an admission discount to attend.
