Cost of Membership

ITI’s membership fees are the same worldwide.

Application Fees

Individual membership

A non-refundable application fee of £60.00 (inc. VAT) must accompany every new application for individual membership (excluding Student). Applicants for Student membership are not required to pay an application fee; they should send their subscription fee along with their application (see table below).

Corporate membership

A non-refundable application fee of £132.00 (inc. VAT) must accompany every new application for corporate membership.

Current members

Members wishing to upgrade their membership are not required to pay an application fee. Full information on upgrading your membership is available via the members’ area of the website.

Assessment costs for MITI membership (Translator and Interpreter)

  • The translator assessment/re-sit fee is currently £378.00 (inc. VAT) for each combination of source and target language e.g. Portuguese to English is one language combination and Portuguese (Brazilian) to English is another. To be listed in the ITI directory as Assessed in a particular language combination you need to pass the ITI assessment in that combination. Each assessment costs £378.00 (inc VAT) 
  • The interpreter assessment/re-sit interview fee is £378.00 (inc. VAT)
  • The detailed report fee is £60.00 (inc. VAT)
  • The appeal fee is £252 (inc.VAT).

Membership fees

Applicants who become members during the subscription year must pay a pro-rated fee from the date on confirmation of membership letter (see table) and must be paid within 28 days.

Please note: 

Members who have been in the Career Affiliate category for more than five years will pay the AITI fee.


Members who have been in the AITI category for more than five years will pay the MITI fee.
