As in all our previous conferences, the program will cover a wide range of topics in the areas of Translation, Editing, Interpreting, Subtitling, Terminology and Tools, and new technologies. A large section will also be devoted to reflection on accreditation and the status of our profession.
With three concurrent tracks, the program will provide information and opportunities for discussion on many linguistic and professional aspects, including case studies from a wide range of applications.
Anyone interested in delivering a paper is invited to submit an abstract of their proposal by October 31st, 2007 to papers@ita.org.il.
Presentations should take 30 minutes plus ten minutes for questions.
Papers should be in Hebrew or English; other languages will be considered.
The abstracts should not exceed 250 words, and should be submitted on a Word document only, together with a short bio (please state your name, telephone number and email address). Also state which language or language pair/s you plan to speak about.
Authors will be informed by November 15th, 2007 of the organizing committee's decision as to whether their proposal has been accepted.
The preliminary program will be published in mid-December 2007 on our site: http://www.ita.org.il.
