The Translating and the Computer (TC) conference focuses on the user aspects of translation and translation-related software. It serves as a unique forum and meeting point for a wide audience including translators from large multinational institutions (EU, UN), from translation agencies across the world, freelance translators, tools and technology developers, language experts, software vendors, business managers, researchers and academics. There will be presentations on new developments in translation and translation technology and panel and user group discussions on topics of interest to the conference audience.

The conference will be combined with an exhibition and live demonstrations.

The range of topics includes: innovative CAT tools, translation memories, advanced TM systems and TMX, terminology management, localisation, voice recognition, XML tools and standards, TIPP, copyright issues, revision aid tools, workflow systems, technology training opportunities for translators, cost-savings studies of technology-based solutions.
