TV Opportunity - Your time to shine

Production company, Blakeway North, are looking for interpreters, on a volunteer basis, to take part in an exciting documentary project.

Blakeway is currently casting for experienced or newly-qualified interpreters to help create a ‘pilot’ (not yet commissioned) documentary that will then be pitched to UK broadcasters.

The aim of the documentary is to highlight the hidden world of interpreting – emphasising the professional and exciting work carried out on a day-to-day basis.

Can I apply for this opportunity?

Volunteers will be practising professionals who are willing to be filmed and interviewed while carrying out their interpreter work. Blakeway are looking for volunteers in different sectors of society to best show the variety of work carried out by interpreters; for example volunteers working for the NHS, the police and the council would be greatly received.

How do I get involved?

Please email your CV and a brief statement about the type of work you carry out, along with your language combinations, to:

Georgina Madley
Assistant Producer- Development

Deadline for applicants is: Monday 12 November 2012.
