Successful General Meeting

ITI's General Meeting in London on 17 November was a resounding success

Well over 10% of ITI’s membership engaged in the democratic process for the General Meeting on Saturday 17 November, and the updated Articles and Bylaws were passed by a clear margin in each case. The ITI Board would like to thank everyone who participated in the online voting and those who attended the meeting.

VotingOf those who registered an opinion via the electronic proxy system, 64 were Associates of ITI. While not able to vote on the motions presented to the General Meeting, Associates are permitted to appoint a proxy to speak for them if they are unable to attend in person. As a result, 61 Associates clearly instructed the Chairman to speak on their behalf, thus further underlining the importance of Saturday's vote to the newer members of the Institute, some of whom will, in their own time, go on to become its future volunteers.
