Time to enter ITI Awards 2017

Entries are now invited for the ITI Awards 2017.

As reported in the last issue of ITI Bulletin, the Institute has developed a considerably expanded programme of awards to enable practitioners in a variety of roles and at different career stages to gain recognition.


ITI Awards will showcase strong knowledge and skills, best practice, business know-how and excellent client relationships, as well as new research, technology and ways of doing thing.

Entries are invited for the following entry classes:

(Open to members only)

  • Best performance on an assignment – translation
  • Best performance on an assignment – interpreting
  • Best newcomer – freelance
  • Best newcomer – employee of a corporate member
  • Corporate member
  • Industry ambassador
  • Regions and networks – best event or initiative


(Open to both members and non-members)

  • Innovation
  • Best academic research

Awards chairman Catherine Park said: 'In addition to providing well-deserved recognition, we see the awards as a valuable way of highlighting what quality translation and interpreting look like today, and the way the sector is developing.

‘The achievements the awards celebrate will help us all to keep learning, and to raise the bar across the sector.’

Winners will be presented with their awards at the ITI Conference Gala Dinner on 19 May in Cardiff.

The entry deadline is 17 February 2017.
