ITI & CIOL members can claim CPD points (six hours per day).

These are intensive interactive courses with a maximum of 15 participants

Course notes and other materials will be distributed by email to participants approximately one week in advance. Lexacom does not provide hard copies.

The courses are in English and are aimed at translators, of whatever nationality, who translate legal documents FROM or INTO English, and legal interpreters who work with English. No knowledge of English Law is required, so the courses are also suitable for beginners in the legal field. They are also suitable for legal professionals eg civil code lawyers and notaries who have the requisite level of English.

Participants will receive a signed certificate of attendance by email.

COURSE FEES: Fees are exclusive of U K VAT @ 20%.

Participants based and working outside UK may not be liable to UK VAT.

ONE-DAY COURSE FEE: €200 per person, subject to discounts    

The fee includes an excellent lunch at a local restaurant plus the usual refreshments (constant mineral water and three servings of tea / coffee) each day.

DISCOUNTS: substantial discounts are available for former Lexacom participants, for members of some associations and for block bookings (two or more places booked in one transaction for one or more participants). Max. discount would be €150 for two places (37.5%), representing a course fee of €250.

A super discounted fee of €450 is offered for one person booking all four courses in one transaction representing a discount of €350  (43.75%).

 

FIF PL for French residents 

Reimbursement of part of the course fee from FIF PL may be possible for French residents (the cost of the lunch and refreshments has to be deducted): an application may need to be made to FIF PL well in advance of the course date.

No booking is contractually effective until the course fee has been paid, so participants are strongly advised not to incur travel, accommodation or other expenses before their booking is secure.
