Balancing the knowledge acquired in training and responding to real-time situations for an interpreter is often not as easy as it seems.
Dora Murgu and Martina Vojnovic from Interprefy, one of the leading RSI platforms, will start the discussion by addressing some of the ethical and technical issues faced during RSI assignments, such as dealing with poor speaker manners, and ethical dilemmas such as disclosing a conflict of interest. They will use anonymous examples and case studies from RSI assignments that have taken place on the Interprefy platform in recent years.
They will then lead an open conversation around problem-solving techniques and management to which all attendees are invited to collaborate, share experiences, and provide their own recommendations.
