Q: How do I log into the My ITI members’ area on the ITI website?

A: To log in to the Members’ Area, just click on 'My ITI' and enter your registered email address and password in the Login section on the home page. If you have forgotten your password, click on 'Forgotten Password' and follow the instructions.

Q: How can I keep in touch with other members?

A: You can keep in touch with your fellow members – by attending ITI events and workshops, or by joining any of the Networks or Regional Groups. And, of course, there’s always social media: ITI has a LinkedIn group as well as a Facebook page and Twitter account.

Q: Should I join a language/subject network or regional group?

A: Absolutely! We recommend you join at least one relevant group. Networks and Regional Groups are organised by ITI translators and interpreters. Supporting and participating in the life of the network or group is rewarding and useful, both personally and professionally. You can find a list of our Networks and Regional Groups here and in the ITI Bulletin.

Q: Where can I read about ITI’s constitution?

A: You can access the ITI Bylaws and Articles of Association in the Governance section of My ITI.

Q: Can I use the ITI logo?

A: One of the key ITI benefits for Qualified (MITI and FITI), Associate (AITI) and Corporate members is the exclusive use of a member-specific ITI logo. Academic, Graduate Affiliate, Career Affiliate, Supporter and Student members are not permitted to use any of the ITI logos.

Q: What benefits do I get from ITI?

A: There are many benefits from ITI membership, ranging from discounts on events and translation software to invaluable networking opportunities and preferential rates on Professional Indemnity Insurance. You can view all your Member Benefits, and how to access them, in the My Membership section in My ITI.

Q: I need some legal advice. Who can help me?

A: One of your ITI benefits includes access to a legal helpline provided by DAS. To access this, go to the MY Membership section in My ITI. 

Q: What rates should I charge?

A: Please refer to the 2011 Rates & Salaries Survey located in the My Membership section in My ITI.

Q: I have changed my contact details. How can I update my ITI record?

Q: Will you display my contact details on the ITI website?

A: Qualified and Corporate members are eligible to have their contact details listed in online directory of members which is available to members of the public. Members may for other members using the Member Search in My ITI. If you do not wish to have your contact details listed, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 

Q: Can I renew my membership fee by Direct Debit?

A: Yes. Members receive a 2.5% discount on their membership fee renewal if they pay by Direct Debit. An annual Direct Debit is taken in the first week of May. Please note, we do not offer instalments. Click here to download the form.
