ITI Awards 2019 now open for entries

ITI has launched its 2019 awards programme and is inviting entries.

ITI Awards 2019

ITI awards showcase strong knowledge and skills, best practice, business know-how and excellent client relationships, as well as new ways of doing things, and significant contributions to the profession.

The award categories for this cycle of awards are:

(open to members)

  • Best performance on a translation assignment
  • Best performance on an interpreting assignment
  • Best newcomer – freelance
  • Best newcomer – employee of a corporate member
  • Corporate member
  • Industry ambassador
  • Regions and networks – best event or initiative
  • Mentor of the Year (NEW THIS YEAR)

(also open to non-members)

  • Academic research

This is the first year in which the awards have introduced a category recognising outstanding mentors who have been making a real difference for those new to the profession and wishing to enhance their ability to operate successfully in the sector.

Another change for 2019 is that the translation and interpreting assignment categories will also be open to any individuals (freelance or employee) who have undertaken an outstanding assignment on behalf of one of ITI’s corporate members – they do not need to be an individual ITI member.

The Institute has streamlined the entry forms this year making it easier and less time-consuming to fill in.

2019 winners will receive their awards at the ITI conference gala dinner in May 2019.

The deadline for entries is 31 January 2019.
