ITI launch new website

The Institute of Translation and Interpreting has launched a new website for its 3,000+ members, those looking to engage their services and anyone with an interest in the profession.

As well as a new design which showcases ITI members and their profession in an up-to-date and fresh way, the website also has many new features including:

  • A more refined and easier to use version of its free search facility, the ITI Directory. This enables anyone who is looking for the services of a translator or interpreter to locate the ITI Qualified Member best suited to their language requirements quickly and easily
  • A better user experience for members, including an improved and easier to use CPD log
  • A searchable Knowledge Hub where members and non-members can find a wealth of information about the sector
  • An improved Events calendar which showcases events organised by ITI’s Networks and Regional Groups more clearly, and also has an enhanced booking system.

Commenting on the launch of the new site, Paul Wilson, ITI’s Chief Executive said “This has been the culmination of many months of hard work and we had the additional challenge of remote working in the final months of the project due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But we are delighted with the result and, most importantly, the reaction of our members.”

ITI Corporate member, Louise Killeen Translations wrote on social media “We really like the look of the redesigned ITI website and we’ll definitely be dipping into the Knowledge Hub.”

The Knowledge Hub is a library of resources that can be searched by information type and topic so members and non-members alike can find the materials they need easily. With almost 150 resources already, and many more to be added in the coming months, it is set to become an invaluable source of information for and about the sector.

The relaunch also means that ITI members can now log and track their CPD much more easily, something close to the heart of the Chair of ITI’s Professional Development Committee, Kari Koonin. Kari commented “The new website has a lovely look and feel and an excellent CPD log dashboard. Now there’s no excuse for members not to log their CPD!”
