ITI Weald Network

Tell us about your ITI Network

ITI Weald is a small, friendly network of around 40 translators and interpreters living in Sussex, Kent and beyond - basically anywhere within reach of the geographical area between and around the North and South Downs. We also welcome translation and interpreting students and staff.

What sort of events do you organise?

Networking, co-working and general social meetups in the local area, as well as online events using Zoom and Wonder. We are also very interested in teaming up with other regional groups from time to time, to organise larger CPD events.

Because our members tend to be clustered in and around Horsham, East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Tunbridge Wells and Brighton, we have so far tended to meet up with other, more local, members in smaller numbers. However, our most recent Christmas meal was held at deliberately central location, to enable as many of us to attend as possible.

Why should I join?

We’re a friendly group and welcome fellow translators and interpreters from the local area to benefit from advice, support and work referrals and to offset the isolation of working alone. The new committee is keen to develop the group further as we grow. We also give members access to a contact list so they can network among themselves.

Find a Professional

The ITI Directory is a free search facility to help you find the professional translator, interpreter or language service provider that can best help you with your language requirements.

You can search on a number of criteria, such as language pair (e.g., German to English), subject matter (e.g., marketing, pharmaceutical, legal) or specific name of the individual or business.

All individual members listed in the ITI Directory are Qualified members (MITI) or Fellows of ITI (FITI). This means that they have passed the ITI translation or interpreting assessment in the given language pair.

Please note: membership of one of our Networks does not constitute membership of ITI.
