Originally from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, Ruth Simpson MITI has been translating professionally since 2008 in the fields of wine, beauty and personal development.
Ruth regularly translates for high-end beauty brands such as Givenchy, Guerlain, Filorga, Hermès and Louis Vuitton, among others. She facilitated the ITI workshop day on translating for the wine world and has led sessions during the Mediterranean Editors and Translators association’s conferences.
Before moving to Chablis where she now lives with her winemaker husband and their two children, Ruth was a language trainer at L’Oréal’s Luxury Division in Paris, facilitating workshops and tutoring business and marketing professionals from brands such as Helena Rubinstein, Cacharel, Lancôme and Ralph Lauren.
