International women's day film screening and Q&A: Surviving translation

The University of York is hosting a special colloquium event to mark International Women's Day. The event is a film screening of Surviving Translation, a documentary that takes an in-depth look at the ethics of translation, focusing specifically on the traumatic experiences of female migrants.

This film is co-created and co-produced by Dr Charlotte Bosseaux, University of Edinburgh, who will introduce the film and offer a Q&A at the end.

The event will take place at 4:30pm and can be attended in-person or via Zoom. If you’d like to attend by Zoom, please register here.

More information about the event can be found on the event website.
