As ITI celebrates its 40th anniversary, we leave Milton Keynes with more than notes and memories. New ideas, fresh perspectives, stronger connections and a clearer understanding of what our members, partners and the wider language services
community need from us moving forward.

Some of our participants shared their impressions and reflections on LinkedIn. You can read their comments via the links below.

Over the coming months, ITI will reflect on the insights, discussions and recommendations generated throughout EX:CHANGE 2026 and consider how these can inform the future direction of the organisation. We want to ensure that the collective knowledge shared here translates into practical action and positive benefits for our members.

That means continuing to develop the support, resources, training and advocacy that you need to thrive in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving professional environment. It means strengthening our role as a trusted voice for the profession. It means identifying opportunities for innovation while remaining grounded in the values and standards that define professional translation and interpreting.

We will build upon the partnerships and relationships that help make our sector stronger. We are already fostering greater collaboration between universities and between academics and ITI through our recently launched ITI Academy Connect initiative. We will also be taking part in ATC's upcoming ATC Gold 2026 Conference in Glasgow, which will present an exciting opportunity to continue the important conversations from EX:CHANGE 2026 and work together on solutions that benefit the wider profession.
