The YTI and North-East Network are holding their annual translation workshop this month on the topic of "Sustainability", which can't be more topical, can it? Participants provide texts in their source languages to translate during the workshop – any text related to sustainability that is publicly accessible is suitable. We will make all the texts available for download from Slack from the 18th November, so you will have just over a week to translate the texts that interest you most and discuss them in your language groups.
The workshop will consist of the following:
- Thursday 18th November at 7.30 pm: Introductory talk by Kate Stansfield on Zoom
- Thursday 18th to Saturday 27th November: Language groups translate their choice of texts and discuss on Slack
- Saturday 27th November at 11 am: Plenary discussion of our translations (each group can report their experience) on Zoom
The plan is to record the two Zoom calls and make them available to all participants. Don't stress if you can't participate in all or part of the plenary session – although at least one member of each group should do, ideally.
If you would like to participate in the workshop, please contact the YTI CPD coordinator Marina Torruella Bonsoms on [email protected].
