Join us for the annual LRG summer social. This year we will visit Balham, South London, originally developed as a prosperous suburb for bankers in the mid-19th century, only to fall into some disrepair by the 1980s and now a lively place to be, home to young professionals and families. From the Devonshire Pub, our host Peter Bowen will take us to Balham Bowls Club. We will have the option of continuing to the Regent or heading straight to the Bedford (a hotel/pub/music venue), where we booked a space for those who want to stay for dinner (menu is half price!). |
