This online course offers a unique opportunity for doctoral or pre-doctoral students, researchers from other fields and professional translators or interpreters to learn how to conduct research in the 21st century.

Registration is now open for the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Geneva, ReMeTIS Course II (Research Methods in Translation and Interpreting Studies: Specific Research and Scientific Communication Skills). 

Participants will have access to reading materials, individual feedback, discussion threads and plenary lectures, and will be able to organise their work according to their individual schedules via an interactive online platform. 

The programme includes the following four modules: 

1.    Corpus construction and analysis for translation and interpreting studies (TIS) 

2.    Quantitative data analysis 

3.    Posters: Presenting research questions 

4.    Career and publication strategies 

Participants who successfully complete all four modules will earn 4 ECTS credits and will be awarded an ECTS credits certificate by the University of Geneva. 

Registration for the course is open until 5 February 2024, and the course will officially run from 4 March - 31 May 2024.
