This event runs from 2pm Friday 8 April - 2pm Sunday 10 April 2022.
After two years of pandemic life and socialising via Zoom, come and enjoy a weekend of camping at a private campsite in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
Peggy Bottom campsite is just outside the village of Rathmell, a ten-minute drive from the market town of Settle. Facilities include high-spec loos, shower, hot water, sinks, pot wash and stand pipe for drinking water, handmade fire pit with starter pack of wood, use of large gazebo and phone charging points (although you don't have to have your phone on, if you don't want to!). We will have exclusive use of the campsite, which is off a private road between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland (which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). There are plenty of footpaths to explore, the Rathmell Beck flows through the campsite and has a dipping pool, Gisburn Forest mountain bike trails are a 20-minute drive away - or if you want something less energetic, I can heartily recommend Holden Clough plant nurseries (and café), also about 20 minutes in the car. Settle is also a lovely market town with lovely shops and cafes.
The campsite can accommodate up to 20 adults plus children and the cost for the weekend, from 2pm Friday to 2pm Sunday, is £700, which works out at £35 per adult for the full weekend. If you would like to join us for the weekend, please can you pay a deposit of £10 per adult by Wednesday 6 April to secure your place? Please can you also let me know who is in your party?
