This event will have two parts, and you're welcome to join for as much or as little as you'd like.
1. ITI Board on Tour
Time: 12.30pm
Location: The Adelphi, 1-3 Hunslet Rd, Leeds LS10 1JQ
As part of the ITI's Board on Tour initiative, we'll be hosting Lloyd Bingham, ITI Vice Chair and member of the ITI Board. This will be an informal opportunity for us to have a friendly and constructive chat with Lloyd about what the ITI is doing to support members and discuss how it can further support us in the coming years. It will also be a chance to ask about how things work on the Board, how decisions are made and even how to stand for election to the Board.
The Adelphi is a cosy Victorian pub on Leeds’ Southbank that serves a wide range of hot and cold drinks, snacks, lunchtime sandwiches and excellent pub grub – and if we're lucky, they might even have the fire on. Attendees will cover the costs of their own food and drink at the pub.
2. Museum visit
Time: 2.30pm (approx.)
Location: Royal Armouries museum, Armouries Drive, Leeds LS10 1LT
Afterwards, we'll stroll along the River Aire to the Royal Armouries. This museum has a vast collection of historical artifacts from around the world, including decorative medieval weaponry and dazzling armour made for Japanese samurai, Chinese Imperial guards and even Indian elephants.
Entry to the museum is free of charge. There is an exhibition on at the moment called Genghis Khan: How the Mongols Changed the World, which costs £9 per adult ticket, £7 for concessions (free for under-16s). Attendees wishing to visit the exhibition can buy their own tickets on the day.
