I am a lawyer linguist and also the Director of niche market company Avocate Legal and Business French Interpreting and Translation Services Ltd based in Manchester, UK. I also have Chartered Linguist (Interpreter) status and interpret in all legal and business settings both in person and also remotely by 'phone and by video link.

I translate most legal documents and specialise in the translation of documents related to residential property buying and selling in France.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists' (CIOL) and a member of the CIOL Interpreting Division Steering Group and also of the CIOL Professional Conduct Committee.

I am also a Fellow of ITI and a member of ITI's Law, Insurance, Finance and Translation Group (LIFT) as well as the chair of the LIFT website development subcommittee. I am a member of the North West Translators Network (NWTN), the York Translators and Interpreters Group (YTI) and ITI French Net. I am a registrant of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI) .

My other professional memberships include The Association of Interpreters and Translators (AIT), Association of Translation Companies (ATC), International Legal English Teachers Academy (ILETA).

I am also an ad hoc chair of the professional conduct hearings of the National Registers of Communication Professionals Working With Deaf and Deafblind Persons (NRCPD).
