Patent and environmental technology translator.

For the past seven years, I have provided an accurate, timely and quality-focused service to satisfied repeat clients. My main areas of interest are low-carbon technology and the environment, the subject in which I was assessed to become a Member of the ITI. Since 2017, I have worked as lead French-English revisor for an ongoing contract with an international patent authority. This involves revising translations of abstracts and patentability reports on a weekly basis in line with the client’s glossary, style guide and quality requirements. In other recent projects I have translated patent claims and descriptions in a wide range of sectors such as renewable energy and electric mobility, and:
- a white paper on sustainable urban development in Germany (German-English, 9000 words)
- guidelines for lithium-ion batteries (German-English, 13,000 words)
- contract for a major electricity supply project (French-English, 14,000 words)
- instructions for bicycle fitting software and systems (English proofreading, 107,000 words)
- financial reports for an agricultural cooperative (French-English, 33,000 words).
- marketing texts in advertisements, press releases, webinars, newsletters for sustainable cleaning products (Dutch-English, 7000 words).
