In recent years, the ITI has taken good steps to foster collaboration with academic institutions. As evident in the blogs by its Chief Executive Sara Robertson (e.g., Sara’s blog dated 5 June 2025), the ITI recognises that in an increasingly complex and fragmented professional landscape, working with academia is part of the solution for the sustainable future of the profession of translation/interpreting.
