Japanese to English
First target language. 20+ years’ experience, half in-house in Tokyo (IBI, General Solutions etc.), half free-lance in Tokyo.
Specialties: Annual reports (all sectors) and financial statements, general business copy, journalistic copy. I have done annual report translation for Hitachi, Fujifilm, Toyota, Honda, SMFG (world’s 14th-largest bank), FamilyMart (world’s No. 2 convenience store chain) and many other Japanese bluechips. Also translated for books, including language textbooks for students of Japanese.

Specialties: General business (for RRD) and journalistic copy, clinical trial translations and translation edits (for Rising Sun agency, working on the Bayer account). Also translated a short book, on labour rights in China.

I have also translated from French (at AFX News), German and Swedish into English (general copy). I have lived in Japan, China, France and Germany, and have stayed six months in Sweden.
