Using technology to benefit you and your clients

The pandemic caused a lot of confusion and difficulties in practically every industry—however, it could be argued that the overall trends remained. In the first part of this presentation, memoQ will look at how some recent developments — market consolidation, the hype cycle of machine translation, the new perception of artificial intelligence — might shape the future of translation and translation technology. They will also argue in favour of the responsible development and use of technology, and how we all should look behind the hype and the buzz of the day, and focus on how technology benefits the users and their end clients.

In the second half of the presentation you will hear about why memoQ spends a lot of energy on improving their translation memory technology in a world where MT is gaining more and more space. You will also learn about how you can improve your efficiency using regular expressions and how memoQ can help you in this respect. We will also touch upon the topic of linguistic quality assurance and also on how you can influence what improvements the memoQ team will work on in the software.

2. My client sent me an Excel spreadsheet with html tags and field codes? What would be the best way to handle this file with Wordfast?
