Honorary Fellows
Honorary Fellowship is ITI's highest honour, awarded to members and non-members in recognition of outstanding contribution to the language services profession.
For ITI members
To be considered, a member should have:
- Made a sustained and significant contribution to ITI over at least 15 years, whether through active involvement in Networks, serving on the Board or a committee, or contributing to the ITI community through leadership, training or advocacy.
- A profile that, in the opinion of the Board, would help promote ITI and the profession more broadly.
For non-members
One or more of the following should apply:
- A sustained and significant contribution to the language services industry.
- A meaningful contribution to ITI's objectives and activities, through leadership, training, advocacy or other relevant work.
- Distinction as an academic or teaching practitioner, or a notable contribution to the education of future translators, interpreters or language professionals.

How to nominate a member
Nominations can be made by any Board member or any ITI member at any time, and you can nominate yourself or a peer. Simply submit a brief written statement setting out the grounds for nomination, with reference to the criteria above. The Board will consider all nominations and make its decision by majority vote.
