The main event will run from 1.30 - 4.30pm and will start with a one-hour workshop from this year’s guest speaker, translator and theatre expert, Charlie Gobbett.

Charlie is a former WMG committee member, now based in Nantwich, Cheshire. As a French and German to English translator, he is a specialist in all things environmental ranging from green technology, sustainability and clean tech to regenerative agriculture. As well as being a published translator, Charlie is also a practising theatre translator with three translated plays performed on stage in the UK. He was the winner of the 2023 CTG Vicky Lane Trophy for Dramatic Achievement. Charlie has kindly agreed to run a theatre translation session for us, talking about his productions and will be including a few fun writing exercises tackling some of the translation challenges thrown up by translating comedy.

The AGM is scheduled from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m.

There will also be a co-working session in the morning prior to the AGM from 10.30-12.30. The day is free of charge to network members and will include refreshments and lunch.
