The webinar will draw on evidence-based and established interventions to promote resilience, self-confidence and life satisfaction. It is suitable for linguists at any point in their career as well as those considering a freelance career.
In her 13-year career as a freelance translator, Lydia has seen her share of the ups and downs that make being a freelance linguist so wonderful and so very challenging. At the height of her career, she won an industry award; at its bottom she was burnt out and ready to quit. Instead of quitting freelancing life, however, she embarked on a new adventure that put educating and supporting freelancers around the topic of professional wellbeing at its very core. At the moment, Lydia is undertaking postgraduate studies in Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and is building a new business to provide wellbeing insight and empowerment to freelancers in the language industry and beyond.
