Carine Kennedy is a London-based conference interpreter with over 40 years of experience working at the highest levels of international diplomacy, law, business and media. She interprets between French, English and Italian in simultaneous, consecutive and remote modes, and holds UK Top Secret security clearance from both the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
She has served as team leader interpreter at G6, G7, G8 and G20 summits, Anglo-French summits, and major UN-convened international conferences on Somalia, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine. Her clients include heads of state and world leaders — among them Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel — as well as members of the Royal Family, and institutions including the UN, NATO, WHO, UNICEF, the European Commission and the Council of Europe.
In the legal field, Carine has interpreted for high-profile international arbitrations and ICC proceedings in London, Paris, New York and Chicago, working with firms including Allen & Overy, Freshfields, Slaughter & May and Cleary Gottlieb.
Her subject specialisations span medicine and pharmaceuticals, finance and consulting, technology, fashion and cosmetics, advertising, architecture and literature. In the media sphere, she serves as advisory interpreter for Bloomberg and Sky News, and has worked with the BBC, CNN and the London Film Festival.
Carine is fully equipped for remote interpretation across all major platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Interactio and Kudo. She is a member of AIIC, MITI and CIOL.
