I am an ITI-qualified French>English legal translator with over 20 years' experience in delivering quality translations to prestigious law firms and notaries to exacting client and industry standards (I became ISO 17100:2015 certified in 2018).
Having begun my career as a bilingual secretary for a firm of patent and trademark attorneys in Paris, a chance comment to a translator colleague resulted in her providing me with invaluable assistance, advice and encouragement to eventually become a translator in my own right!! After spending a couple of years working for the translation department of a then-global law firm and establishing contact with several lawyers for whom I still work today, I made the huge decision to return to England to work on a freelance basis. This was the biggest - but undoubtedly the best - decision of my working life.
Since then, I have had the privilege of working for some of the most prestigious globally-renowned and award-winning law firms and notarial firms.
I understand my clients' requirements for accuracy (and often fast turnaround times!) and pride myself on my attention to detail and my ability to deliver quality translations on time.
