I have over 20 years' experience as a German to English translator. I spent five years translating in-house in Germany and have been a self-employed translator in the UK for more than 15 years. Most of my work is for banks based in Germany and Switzerland and I specialise in the following areas: investment funds, macroeconomics, equity and credit analyses, fixed income, asset-backed securities, wealth management and banking supervision.

Away from finance, I also have extensive experience in translating for the not-for-profit and foundations sector, as well as in IT. My interests include football, cinema and literature, and I successfully completed the Scotch Whisky Trail Certificate course run by the Scotch Whisky Academy, as well as a course in Spanish on the language of Sherry.

I was shortlisted for the Stinging Fly new translator's bursary in 2021.

I successfully completed the RWS machine translation post-editing course in February 2023.

I work closely with Julie Corcoran, who is also a Qualified Member of the ITI.
