Wide experience translating in a range of commercial and technical fields, also translate about bikes and cycle racing, and crime fiction. Qualified as MITI (by exam) in 1989.
Thirty years of experience translating in a range of hi-tech engineering fields, control systems, computing (both hardware and software), systems development, software localisation, industrial safety, management training, management development, user guides, manuals, technical specifications, tender documents and marketing materials.
As a qualified cycling coach, experienced cycle sport journalist and track racer, I translate a variety of cycling texts about road and track, bike racing and touring, coaching and sports science / sports psychology, including press releases, race reports, adverts for bike components, magazine articles and books.
My other unusual area of translation specialisation covers cognitive sciences, neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, dyslexia and ADHD, and disability rights. I am a qualified autism awareness trainer.
I was one of two English co-translators of a book called "Project Management Handbook", an MBA-level university textbook on industrial project management published by Springer Verlag in 2015. This covered a wide range of management topics, including planning, finance, training, management psychology and management development.
