Ms Karen Grimwade MITI

Translator with 15 years' experience in the industry.
Born and raised in the UK but living in France (and occasionally elsewhere) for over 25 years. I hold two MAs in translation, one for French (ITIRI/Université de Strasbourg) and one for Japanese (School of East Asian Studies/Sheffield University). Since beginning as a professional translator in 2008 I have accumulated a wealth of experience. My primary focus is academic texts (research articles, conference papers, chapters of contributed volumes), particularly in the humanities and social sciences. I also translate non-fiction books and lifestyle magazines.
In addition to translating, I edit and revise English texts by non-native speakers and get them ready for publication.
I'm passionate about CPD and regularly attend conferences and workshops to ensure my skills stay razor sharp.
