ITI members recognised at the ATC awards
ITI congratulates the members who won or were commended at the Association of Translation Companies (ATC) Language Industry Awards, which took place on 22 October during the ATC Gold conference in Glasgow.
The awards recognise companies and individuals across the language services sector for their work, innovation and resilience over the past year.
Winners
Silent Sounds – joint winner, Company of the Year
The judges highlighted InterpretCart, a project that places mobile video interpreting units across hospital sites so that patients and staff can reach an interpreter on demand in many languages. They also noted the company's commitment to sustainable interpreter booking practices and the stability of its workforce.
Atlas Translations – winner, Sustainable Business of the Year
Atlas Translations was recognised for building sustainability into how it operates. Its practices include a four-day working week, Living Wage accreditation, the Fair Payment Code Gold Award, a paperless office and community fundraising.
Translators Family – winner, New Member of the Year and Team of the Year
ITI member Oleg Semerikov and his partner founded Translators Family in Ukraine in 2006. After the 2022 invasion the company moved to Poland and later opened a UK office; some of the team still work in Ukraine. The judges recognised the company's growth and its delivery of a large medical e-learning localisation project, which involved coordinating more than 20 linguists to a tight deadline.
