If you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or simply need a moment to breathe amidst a busy schedule, you might be interested to give meditation a go.
As part of its focus on wellbeing and self-care, the ITI Parent & Carer Network is inviting you to join a series of lunchtime meditation sessions. Our colleague Justyna has graciously offered to hold the space for you weekly and explain some of the benefits of practising regularly.
Justyna is a fellow language professional and a Pranic Healing practitioner. Since 2021, she has been running a healing practice and facilitating guided meditation and healing sessions, both online and in person.
She works with busy professionals and parents navigating demanding careers and family life. She combines practical, energy-based techniques with structured meditation to support physical wellbeing, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.
Through her weekly lunchtime meditation sessions, Justyna holds space for you to pause, reduce stress, improve focus, and return to the day feeling calm and centred.
You might be wondering what Pranic Healing is. Pranic Healing is a non-touch, complementary modality, that works with the body’s energy system to restore balance and promote overall wellbeing.
The sessions will consist of a short introduction, meditation of 30 min and a short Q/A if time allows. They will take place on Fridays between 11:30-12:30pm and start on Friday 27th February.
Join us for the 6 sessions, or when you feel able to, depending on your availability by using the Zoom link.
Before joining the session, I would like to draw your attention to the following instructions:
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
During our session we’ll practise Meditation on Twin Hearts, which is a powerful spiritual practice that generates a strong flow of energy. For your safety and wellbeing, please contact Justyna directly: [email protected], if you’d like to join and if any of the following applies:
❌ You have severe heart conditions or uncontrolled high blood pressure
❌ You suffer from serious eye conditions such as glaucoma
❌ You have severe psychological or psychiatric conditions
❌ You are pregnant (especially during the first trimester)
❌ You are under the age of 16
BEFORE THE SESSION:
To receive the maximum benefit from the meditation, please follow these simple guidelines:
✅ Do light physical exercise, like stretching, a short walk, or gentle movement, or one set of exercises demonstrated in this video - this helps release excess energy and allows it to flow more smoothly.
✅ Take a shower or bath — this helps clear the aura and allows the healing power of the meditation to go deeper
✅ Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes so your body can relax
✅ Avoid heavy meals for 2–3 hours beforehand (a light snack is fine)
✅ Drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated
✅ Refrain from alcohol, smoking, or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before
✅ Most importantly — come as you are. There’s no need to “do” anything. Just be open and relaxed. You’re already doing beautifully.
