Wessex Translations was one of the first translation companies to be established in the UK and we are proud to have been in business for 50 years. We are now the longest-standing member of the Association of Translation Companies and have been a corporate member of the ITI since 1987. We work with clients of all sizes and sectors, many of whom have been relying on our services for decades.
We translate into and out of every known language and provide over 60 million words of translation every year. Our translators have proven language skills and are carefully hand-selected for each project based on their expertise – and they always translate into their native language. All translations are then carefully revised by a second linguist and double-checked before delivery to the client.
We also arrange face-to-face interpreting assignments all over the UK and abroad, for both public services and private businesses. Our interpreters are highly experienced professionals with a specific knowledge of the subject area. These interpreters are available to attend assignments remotely, as has been made necessary by the pandemic. We also offer an on-demand telephone interpreting service in over 200 languages.
Wessex Translations has a dedicated in-house typesetting team so we can provide translations in more complex design formats, fully laid out and ready to print. Our expert typesetters can work with complex scripts and right-to-left languages.
We assist many customers with website localisation, whether they require a one-off translation or a longer-term proxy-based solution enabling continuous translation of their regularly updated website. We also offer further language solutions such as proofreading, transcription, voice-over and subtitling.
We treat all work as confidential and both our in-house team and freelance linguists sign non-disclosure agreements with us.
