Ms Nikki Graham MITI
I've been translating professionally from Spanish into English since September 1999. Besides general texts, I focus on three main areas: leisure and tourism; translating and editing academic papers (mostly humanities, social sciences and education); and environment and wildlife conservation (due to a personal interest in these topics). I also provide localisation from US to UK English. Since I lived in Spain for nearly 14 years in three major cities (Granada, Madrid and Barcelona) and return as often as I can for holidays and work events, I am well versed in the country’s culture and landscapes. Unless asked to use a different style, I base my work on the New Oxford Style Manual, as recommended by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP). I have taken the CIEP introduction to proofreading course and regularly read style and proofreading books to sharpen my editing skills. I try to make my texts easy to read and natural-sounding without losing sight of the original content and message. Please see my website for further details: https://nikkigrahamtranix.com/
