Sara Horcas-Rufián is a freelance translator (English/French to Spanish) with over 10 years of experience. She specialises in operational and advocacy communications for the international development sector. Her client portfolio includes UN specialised agencies and related organisations, including multilateral development banks, as well as international, independent NGOs concentrating on humanitarian assistance. She has also done pro-bono translation work for worthy organisations on several occasions (e.g., Think Equal and RESURJ - Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Justice).

A Chartered Linguist and full Member of CIOL (https://www.ciol.org.uk/), and a qualified Member of ITI (https://www.iti.org.uk/), Sara is also the coordinator of the ITI International Development and Cooperation Network.

She also enjoys teaching and researching, and is currently working towards her doctoral dissertation in Translation Studies.
