Member referral scheme launch
In October 2026, ITI introduced a member referral scheme, which offers a discount to both the new member and the referring member. The scheme rewards members who bring colleagues into the Institute with a discount on their membership subscription or an ITI training course.
How does the referral scheme work?
- The new/joining member receives 10% off their membership subscription
- The referring member receives:

| Third referral | 15% |
The maximum discount available is 15%, equivalent to three referrals per membership year. Discounts can be applied to either membership renewal or an ITI training course, not both.
The member referral scheme runs on an annual basis, starting from a member’s individual renewal date for the current membership year, and refreshes on renewal at the beginning of the next membership year.
Who can apply for the referral scheme?
People who are currently non-members or ex-members of ITI are welcome to use this referral scheme to start or restart their membership with us. Please note: if you are an ex-member, you will incur the £50 rejoin fee.
Can the referral discount be used alongside other offers, such as the Student discount, Networks discount or Trial Affiliate?
No, the discount must be used on its own, and not alongside other joining offers.
Do application fees still apply?
Yes, Associates and MITIs will need to pay the £60 application fee, but will receive the discount on their subscription.
How do I apply for the referral scheme?
If you would like to join ITI at the reduced rate, all you need to do is email [email protected], copying in the referring member, and let us know what grade of membership you have chosen. Our team will help you complete the process.
