ITI Conference 2024

4-5 June 2024 | Edinburgh and online

Countdown to Conference

The ITI Conference is an unmissable opportunity for translators and interpreters to meet, learn and share new ideas.

We have over 40 speakers lined up to deliver a series of thought-provoking presentations and keynotes across four tracks, one of which is dedicated entirely to interpreting. In the context of our theme, New world, new work, we will be exploring what the future of translation and interpreting might hold and how we will need to adapt and evolve to ensure it remains a vibrant and thriving sector.

Whether you choose to join us in person at the John McIntyre Conference Centre in Edinburgh, or online, the ITI Conference 2024 promises to bring you an inspiring two-day programme.

The venue in Edinburgh is smaller than our venues in the past. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking your in-person ticket as soon as possible.

New world, new work

The conference will explore how the translation and interpreting profession needs to evolve to keep pace with the challenging world we operate in, including addressing the technological changes that are being accelerated by developments in AI. What are the pressing challenges now and into the future, and how do we support and sustain a meaningful and resilient language services sector? The ITI Conference 2024 is the place to find out.

Getting together with the ITI community

The ITI Conference is always a great opportunity to meet up with old friends as well as to make new contacts - whether at the pre-conference reception on 3 June, over lunch or coffee during conference, or even at your own ITI Network event. There will also be lots of fringe events to take part in, and on the evening of 4 June we will be hosting our Gala Dinner.
